Normalizing means adjusting the overall volume of a music track to a standard maximum level. Music tracks from different sources are often recorded at different levels and the fluctuations from one track to the next can be annoying when they are played one after another from a single CD. The Normalize function compensates for these differences so that all the tracks you write to a CD have the same overall volume level. PTS-AudioCD MP3-StudioAudioCD MP3 Studio 2000 can execute this function in real time, while it is recording the music to CD. Simply activate the Normalize check box in the Write CD dialog. You can also choose Normalize as the default setting in the recorder options. See Recording Audio CDs and Configuration and Settings.
